Dr. David Boeckman graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1982. Upon graduation he established a private practice, Eyeland. From 1985 through 1992, Dr. Boeckman was the vision consultant for the Texas Department of Corrections. He has served as a clinical investigator for new investigational products for CIBA Vision Care, and lectures regularly for Johnson & Johnson Vision Care and Acuvue brand products.
He is currently serving on the board of directors of Benevolent Missions International, a medical missionary organization. He was voted Best Eye Doctor 2013 by the readers of The Courier of Montgomery County.
Dr. Boeckman's greatest satisfaction in delivering eye care has come from the many eye/medical missions that he has had the privilege to join. To date, he has treated thousands of patients in Fiji, El Salvador, Belize and Bolivia. Dr. Boeckman and his wife Kathy have three children, Emily, Matt, and Brian, and a menagerie of pets.
